About the Role

As a Manufacturing Operative, you’ll work across different sections of the Engineering Department to support the production of metal furniture components. No two days are the same — you’ll gain experience across workshop, welding, and paint plant areas.

Key Responsibilities

Workshop:

• CNC tube bending

• Tapping metal components

• Prepping metal for the welding team

Welding:

• MIG welding (mainly) and some TIG welding - full training provided

• Plasma cutting

• Operating robotic welders

Paint Plant:

• Hanging metal components on the track for powder coating

• Taking off coated components

• Touch-up spraying to ensure perfect finishes

• Material handling and prepping tables with bungs

Shift Pattern

• Monday to Thursday: 7:00 am – 3:45 pm

• Friday: 7:00 am – 1:00 pm (early finish)

• 40 hours per week, confirmed on a weekly basis

Pay & Benefits

• £12.21 per hour basic rate

• Enhanced overtime rates (1.5x after 40 hours, 2x after 48 hours)

• Previous experience in manufacturing, engineering, or welding is advantageous — but full training will be provided.
