Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant: Candidate Specification

Are you a Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant who holds:

-          Hold a 2:1 or higher psychology, education (or related) degree from a reputational University 

-          A genuine passion for working with young people and a commitment to supporting their academic, social, and emotional development

-          Experience (preferred but not essential) in supporting students with SEN in a school or other educational setting.

-          As a Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant, you must be empathetic, patient, and adaptable nature, with the ability to build trusting relationships with students

 

Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant: The Role

As a Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant at this School, you will play a vital role in supporting students with a range of learning and developmental needs

-          Assisting in the delivery of individualised education plans (IEPs) for students with SEN

-          Providing 1-1 or small group support to students with learning disabilities, ASD, emotional and behavioural difficulties, and other SEN

-          Supporting students in both academic and social settings, helping to develop their communication and interaction skills

-          Monitoring and recording student progress, providing feedback to teaching staff and parents
