Position: Oxbridge Graduate Teaching Assistant (GCSE & A-Level Focus)
Location: Islington, North London
Salary: £27,000-£30,000 per annum
Contract Type: Full-time, term-time only
Start Date: September 2025 (or earlier if available)

Role & Responsibilities:

• Supporting students in their academic development, particularly in GCSE and A-Level subjects
• Assisting teachers in planning and delivering engaging lessons across various subjects
• Providing one-to-one and small group tuition to students who require additional support
• Helping students develop effective study skills and exam techniques
• Supporting classroom management and contributing to a positive learning environment
• Assisting in the creation of lesson materials and resources
• Engaging in extracurricular activities and school-wide events
• Receiving comprehensive training and mentorship, with an opportunity to progress into a formal teacher training programme

Candidate Requirements:

• A graduate from the University of Oxford or the University of Cambridge
• Strong academic background with expertise in a core subject (Maths, Science, English, Humanities, or related fields)
• Passion for education and a keen interest in supporting students’ academic growth
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and students
• A proactive and enthusiastic attitude towards learning and teaching
• Prior tutoring or teaching experience is desirable but not essential
