Senior Process Engineer

Location: Doha, Qatar

We are seeking an experienced Senior Process Engineer to support major international and domestic oil and gas developments, including brownfield projects. This role involves technical input and document review across all project phases, from feasibility through execution, with a focus on process and surface facilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct process simulation studies to validate data from consultants and contractors and support selection of optimal development options.
• Participate in design reviews during various engineering phases to identify cost-effective solutions and provide input across joint venture and internal projects.
• Perform supplementary process studies such as thermal and hydraulic analyses, transient evaluations, and pipeline sizing.
• Assist in techno-economic evaluations of new or expanded offshore oil facilities and prepare comparative assessments.
• Evaluate new development technologies from a process perspective.
• Review project deliverables including simulations, philosophies, PFDs, P&IDs, and layouts during Pre-FEED, FEED, and EPC phases.
• Monitor project progress reports and advise on key highlights, issues, and mitigation actions.
• Support integration of project schedules to identify overlaps and synergies, and resolve potential execution conflicts.
• Build and maintain a technical and cost database for oil facility benchmarking and optimisation.
• Review and advise on annual work programs and budgets submitted by operators.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to career development and workforce planning.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in the oil and gas industry, including 5 years in offshore brownfield or greenfield projects.
• Exposure to full project lifecycle and operating assets is essential.
• Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation aspects of process plants is desirable.
• Proficiency in engineering software such as HYSYS, Pipesim, Flarenet, hydraulic and cost estimation tools is required.
