The Head Teacher is passionate about providing their pupils with an excellent education and pupils with the skills and values that will enable them to succeed in later life. The school are looking for a full-time Foundation Phase Teaching Assistant who can inspire and motivate children and enable them to be the best that they can be. The successful Teaching Assistant will be enthusiastic, flexible, and highly motivated working alongside the class teacher, they will either be working with an individual pupil or small groups managing a carousel of activities. The role will start in September and be for a term initially, there is a possibility this role may extend for the right person.  

TeacherActive are looking to appoint an exceptional candidate who:

• Will have relevant experience of working with children (minimum of 6 months)
• Level 2 or 3 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in schools
• Will be required to work under the direction of the class teacher and liaise with other professionals both within and outside the school
• Responsible for working with an individual pupil and small groups
• Will be expected to show a high degree of initiative and be able to react to given solutions with integrity and compassion
• Has the ability to encourage every child to learn and achieve and has enthusiasm, skill and desire to make a difference
• Has a passion to ensure high expectations for all ensuring that they make outstanding progress
• Can plan, prepare and promote constructive play during the lunchtime period
