Remarkable Jobs are delighted to be working with a global pharmaceutical and biotech company to assist them with their recruitment of a 'Research Associate II'.

In this 'Research Associate II' position you will be supporting the research and development of new diagnostic products. The successful candidate for this 'Research Associate II' role will be responsible for independently performing routing and non-routine applications of cellular and molecular genetic technology.

'Research Associate' main responsibilities:

• Perform general molecular techniques, such as plasmid purification, gel-electrophoresis, RNA transcription, and bacterial culturing.
• Perform nucleic acid analysis and analyze the results.
• Cell culturing using aseptic techniques.
• Record test results and data records and file accordingly to procedures
• Operate, maintain and calibrate equipment.
• Work with supervisors to plan and execute experiments and ensure documentation meets GLP and GMP requirements.
• Plan for raw material requirements by maintaining a correct inventory of reagents and ordering when needed.
• Maintain a clean and safe lab environment.

Key skills, experience and qualifications required for 'Research Associate':

• A Master's degree in a Biochemistry or Molecular Biology related degree.
• Experience in Molecular biology techniques such as DNA/RNA purification and quantitation.
• Experience with PCR and DNA or RNA electrophoresis.
• Experience with cell culture and aseptic techniques.
• Experience with using Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Possess strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to multitask to work on multiple projects.
