Job Title: Financial Analyst

Location: Atyrau, Kazakhstan

Job Purpose

The Financial Analyst provides critical support in the financial planning and analysis processes of the company. This role involves conducting economic and financial research, developing models and forecasts, analyzing financial data, and presenting insights that support strategic decisions and improve financial performance. The analyst plays a key role in aligning financial initiatives with business goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Analysis & Reporting
  • Analyze financial statements including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
  • Monitor and interpret KPIs to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Prepare detailed variance analyses comparing actual results with budgets and forecasts.
• Financial Modeling & Forecasting
  • Build and maintain financial models to support business planning, investments, and scenario analysis.
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts; monitor performance against projections.
• Strategic Support & Recommendations
  • Provide actionable insights to senior leadership based on financial data.
  • Support the development of business cases and investment proposals, including ROI, NPV, and risk analysis.
• Collaboration & Cross-Functional Engagement
  • Work with finance, operations, and commercial teams to gather data and align insights.
  • Prepare reports and dashboards for management and board-level stakeholders.
• Compliance & Market Intelligence
  • Stay updated on industry trends, economic changes, and regulatory developments affecting the business.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies.

     

Education Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
• Professional Certification: Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent is preferred

Experience Requirements

• Minimum of 8 years of total work experience
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in financial analysis or related roles
• GCC experience (minimum 2 years) is an added advantage

Key Knowledge & Skills

• Strong grasp of GAAP, statutory accounting principles, and financial analysis methodologies
• Advanced proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel for modeling and analysis
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Ability to translate financial data into clear, actionable business insights
