Job Purpose:

The Senior Contracts Specialist will support line management by organizing and maintaining logs and files in both central databases and hard copy systems for easy access. The role involves preparation of prequalification and RFQs for low-risk contracts, as well as independently managing the negotiation and drafting of contracts. This position also covers subcontract management, including the drafting, review, and approval of subcontract amendments and change orders. The Senior Contracts Specialist will ensure high-quality cooperation, team work, and foster transparency across teams and regions to achieve organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Organize and maintain central databases and filing systems for easy access and retrieval of documents.

• Prepare prequalification and RFQs for low-risk and/or small-size contracts independently, post client contract award.

• Lead negotiations and manage low-risk contracts; exposure to negotiations and drafting of medium-risk contracts.

• Draft internal approval sheets and obtain necessary approvals for all contracts.

• Post-award subcontract management, including drafting/reviewing and approving subcontract notices, amendments, change requests, and formalization of subcontract closeout.

• Establish and maintain high-quality cooperation and teamwork within the organization.

• Collaborate across teams, functions, and regions to achieve tasks and goals that benefit the organization.

• Foster transparency and cooperation across various teams and entities.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Education: Minimum of a degree holder in Law, Engineering, Business, QS, or a related field; or a Diploma holder with a minimum of 15 years of experience.

• Experience: At least 10 years of experience in contracts or commercial roles within the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) sector. Experience in the offshore oil & gas industry is advantageous.

• Knowledge: Strong understanding of technical, contractual, and commercial disciplines related to EPC projects. Experience with Floating Production, Storage, and Offloading (FPSO) vessels, vessel chartering, offshore construction, and installation is an advantage.

• Certifications: MRICS, MCIArb, SCL certifications are preferred.

• Language Skills: Fluent in written and spoken English and Mandarin or other Chinese dialects, with the ability to draft clear and concise correspondence. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.

• Other: High level of comprehension to interpret and formulate arguments supporting contractual interpretations.
