Senior Mechanical Engineer – Offshore Oil & Gas
Location: Doha, Qatar (Single status logistics allowance)
Contract Duration: until 30 September 2027

Job Purpose
An exciting opportunity to contribute to a high-profile offshore project, supporting the mechanical engineering and design activities across various systems, including those integral to offshore Living Quarters. The role requires strong technical expertise, leadership, and the ability to deliver within a multidisciplinary, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage mechanical engineering design activities related to offshore facilities, with a focus on static and rotating equipment, and package systems specific to Living Quarters.

• Ensure compliance with project specifications, industry codes, and international standards.

• Provide engineering solutions and technical support throughout the project lifecycle, from design to execution.

• Collaborate with other engineering disciplines and interface teams to ensure integration of mechanical systems.

• Conduct technical reviews, support procurement activities, and provide input on vendor deliverables.

• Promote safety, quality, and performance across engineering deliverables.

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering.

• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in mechanical engineering and design within the offshore oil and gas industry.

• Proven expertise in static and rotating equipment, as well as mechanical packages related to Living Quarters.

• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to engage across multidisciplinary teams.

• Solid analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

• Familiarity with international codes and standards such as SOLAS, ABS, NORSOK, and NFPA is highly advantageous.

• Knowledge of operator standards, such as those used by major international energy companies, is a plus.
