Labour Administrator - Warrington

Purpose: Provide top-notch administrative support to the labour department, maintaining accurate records and information to support team activities and stakeholder needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process all employment applications, ensuring a minimum of three references from previous employers to offer positions only to suitably skilled personnel.
  • Enter all employment applications, references, and site employee assessment details into the labour database.
  • Ensure all new employees receive a Contract of Employment and Personnel Policies and Procedures.
  • Regularly update the Labour Board and produce Monthly Labour Reports for relevant personnel.
  • Handle incoming calls, emails, and correspondence in the Labour Manager’s absence.
  • Maintain harmonious industrial relations with all hourly paid site PAYE employees and agency personnel.
  • Accurately process Weekly Time Sheets to ensure correct pay and expenses for all hourly paid site personnel according to the appropriate Site Labour Agreement.
  • Provide support to other members of the Administration Team during absences due to holidays or illness.

Skills and Knowledge:

Essential Skills:

  • Minimum 2 years' administrative experience within a medium or large industrial organization.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in IT.
  • Ability to act on own initiative and work effectively as part of a small team.
  • Familiarity with payroll systems and procedures.
