TeacherActive are excited to be working with a secondary school in Exeter. We are currently looking for a Food Technology Teacher to join their teaching team for the new academic year. You will be accountable for pupils’ attainment, progress and outcomes, demonstrating knowledge and understanding of how pupils learn and how this impacts on teaching.

The Senior Leadership Teams are looking for an experienced Food Technology Teacher who has the ability to hit the ground running, teaching Key Stage 3 / KS3 and Key Stage 4 / KS4, supporting students through their GCSE years. The successful candidate will need to:

• Have experience teaching Food Technology up to Key Stage 4 / KS4 ( Key Stage 5 / KS5 desirable)
• Have a secure knowledge of the Food Technology curriculum, addressing any misunderstandings
• QTS with at least 6 months teaching experience within the UK (Early Careers Teachers / ECT also encouraged to apply)
• Valid Food Hygiene certificate
• Maintain good relationships with pupils, exercising appropriate authority and acting decisively when necessary
