Full time Lead Guard covering prestigious locations in Crewe,

This is a full time role working a rotational shift pattern, you need to be flexible and be able to cover day and night shifts.

Rate of pay £13.81 per hour

Your Time at Work
The Lead Guard will work a rotational shift pattern alongside the Security Officers on Site. They
will fulfil all of the duties of a Security Officer as well as having the additional responsibilities
listed below.
Responsibilities

- The Lead Guard is G4S' lead point of contact on Site
- Working with the client and Nuclear Operations Manager to develop a training scheme
for the Officers;
- Arranging and delivering training to any new staff;
- Working with the client and Nuclear Operations Manager to develop and implement a
refresher training and on-going knowledge check programme to ensure that staff remain
competent at all times;
- Producing and delivering monthly desktop exercises;
- Providing coaching and mentoring for staff to ensure that they meet the required
competency level;
- Maintaining training records for all staff for review by the client and ONR-CNSS;
- Working with the Recruitment Team and Nuclear Operations Manager on the recruitment
of new staff including interviewing, arranging vetting, ordering uniform and arranging
PTS medical and training;
- Implementing all processes and procedures whether this be from an NTS perspective or
a G4S one;
- Maintaining the Security Assignment Instructions and ensuring all staff are familiar with
the contents and are briefed on any changes;
- Carrying out a wide range of administrative tasks such as approving holiday requests,
completing monthly care visits and carrying out annual performance reviews appraisals;
- Ensuring that minimum staffing levels are met at all times by managing rosters and
arranging cover when required (including outside of normal working hours);
- Ensuring that all aspects of G4S' contractual and regulatory obligations are met and
reporting on performance to the client and G4S Senior Management;
- Ensuring all documentation, e.g. Daily Occurrence Book, Logs, etc., are completed
correctly by carrying out weekly audits;
- Reviewing incident reports completed by the Security Officers, reporting any issues of
concern to the client and taking action to resolve the issues raised;
- Carrying out any other reasonable instruction from either the client or G4S Senior
Management.

You will need to be aged 18 or over, a confident communicator who is a team player with the drive to always provide a friendly and professional service. Good IT knowledge is also key.

It would be a benefit to have some security experience and your SIA licence, however, it's not essential, as we provide full SIA (Security Industry Authority) licence training.
