Great opportunity to work as a Halal Slaughter Operative (Fully Skilled) for our clients leading meat processing factory.

Brightwork is recruiting for Halal Slaughter Operatives to work in Turriff, Aberdeenshire.

The rate of pay is £16.37 per hour.

This is a full-time role, working fixed day shifts, the hours of work are:
- 7am start until finish (usually between 3pm and 5pm)

Experience in a similar role is required.

Your Time at Work

It is a requirement that the slaughter is performed according to Sharia Law (Islamic Practices), Halal Standard and UK regulations. Previous experience of Halal slaughtering and butchery will be an advantage. The successful candidate will work closely with our UK-based Halal certification body. Your duties include:

- Working in an Abattoir environment in the involvement of the slaughter of sheep
- Cutting, trimming and preparation in the meat production process
- Maintaining Health & Safety, Hygiene and Food quality standards
- Working as a team to ensure the production runs quickly and efficiently
- Helping during changes on the line learning new skills as required
- Working on different lines and areas where required
- Complying with all company procedures and codes of practice to ensure a safe and hygienic workplace

Our Perfect Worker

Our perfect Halal Slaughter Operative will be happy with the manual handling of animals and raw meat.

Halal Slaughter Operatives will be a holder of a current and valid slaughter license and have previous experience in Halal butchery and knife skills.
