Business Development Manager

We’re pleased to present the opportunity to join Urenco as a Business Development Manager. Based remotely or from their Capenhurst site you’ll be the strategic force behind identifying growth opportunities and driving them through the Sales Funnel. Your ownership of internal business cases and dynamic bid management skills will be pivotal in securing Urenco's place at the forefront of the industry.

Key Accountabilities:

  1. Team and UNS Knowledge: Fully grasp strategies, processes, and interactions. Collaborate across the organization, contributing to strategy and objective setting.
  2. Opportunity Identification and Progression: Leverage market assessments and stakeholder engagement findings to identify and nurture opportunities. Present proposals and contribute to sales contract formulation.
  3. Development and Ownership of Business Cases: Lead the development and evaluation of internal business cases and external proposals, ensuring quality and compliance.
  4. Framework & Bid Management: Manage bids, tenders, and sales negotiations. Collaborate with departments and stakeholders to deliver robust responses to customers.
  5. Stakeholder Engagement: Cultivate relationships with stakeholders, driving the UNS business strategy and customer acquisition.
  6. Marketing: Represent UNS at national and industry events, amplifying the brand's presence.

Job Requirements:

  • Education & Qualifications: Degree in a technical discipline.
  • Experience: Business development and bid management experience is essential.
  • Skills: Proficiency in project and contract management, high-quality document writing, financial modeling, and a proactive attitude.
  • Knowledge: Understanding of the nuclear industry, uranic material, and nuclear waste operation is desirable or from a similar sector.
  • Competencies: Excellent communication, enthusiasm, commercial focus, adaptability, and proactive collaboration.
