A leading engineering organisation is seeking a highly experienced Senior Lead Engineer to take ownership of technical assurance activities across engineering disciplines. This role is key to ensuring quality, compliance, and continuous improvement in engineering deliverables, with a focus on offshore facilities, particularly FPSO projects.

Role Purpose
You will independently plan, manage, and deliver high-quality engineering outcomes while supporting the evolution of technical documentation and processes. You will contribute to corporate technical standards, integrating lessons learned and managing updates throughout the lifecycle of offshore facilities. The role also includes assuring compliance with engineering policies and fostering technical excellence across teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the work of corporate technical experts and discipline authorities

• Provide structured feedback on technical findings to improve corporate technical documents

• Coordinate analysis and validation of lessons learned to drive continuous improvement

• Contribute to workflow optimisation across engineering disciplines

• Engage with suppliers and stakeholders to enhance technical documentation and design principles

• Manage updates to corporate technical documents in alignment with project lifecycle developments

• Ensure engineering deliverables align with internal standards and industry best practices

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering

• Minimum 15 years’ experience (Bachelor’s) or 14 years (Master’s) in discipline engineering within the oil and gas sector

• Proven experience as a lead engineer on at least one FPSO project

• Deep understanding of engineering standards, tools, and procedures relevant to the role

Skills and Competencies

• Strong grasp of corporate design principles and ability to ensure compliance with technical policies

• Broad understanding of facility lifecycle phases (FPSO or equivalent) and ability to propose value-enhancing solutions

• Confident decision-maker with the ability to balance competing technical and stakeholder requirements

• Open to new concepts and committed to fact-based decision-making

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for cross-disciplinary and inter-company collaboration
