SENIOR PROCUREMENT OFFICER | NR BAMBER BRIDGE | PERMANENT, FULL TIME

Up to £49,000 per annum DOE

KPI Recruiting have partnered with a highly respected business who are looking for a Senior Procurement Officer to join their team on a full time, permanent basis.

The ideal candidate will be an effective communicator with a proven track record in public sector procurement, and a strong passion for strategic sourcing, collaboration, and delivering tangible impact.

You will play a key role in shaping and delivering procurement strategies. A central part of the role will involve strengthening supply chains to ensure the reliable delivery of goods, services, and works.

You will be:

• Serving as a trusted procurement officer to internal and external stakeholders
• Managing the full strategic sourcing process, from market analysis to contract award, in compliance with public sector regulations
• Driving efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and continuous improvement across procurement activities
• Utilising digital procurement tools to streamline operations
• Promoting environmentally and socially responsible procurement practices
• Developing strong, collaborative relationships with internal teams and key suppliers
• Proactively identifying and managing risks to maintain seamless operational delivery

You will have:

• CIPS Level 5 qualification
• Prior working experience in a public sector procurement role
• Strong understanding of public sector procurement processes, policies and frameworks
• Experience using third-party framework agreements
• Ability to draft tender documents
• Experience producing project documentation including; project initiation, business cases, contract award recommendations and savings analyses
• Ability to convey complex information clearly to a range of audiences
