What You’ll Be Doing as an English ECT:

• Teaching English across Key Stage 3, 4, and 5, inspiring students to achieve their best
• Designing and delivering lessons that engage students and develop their reading, writing, and critical thinking
• Fostering a love for literature and language through creative, dynamic lessons
• Supporting students of all abilities, from intervention to stretching the most talented
• Monitoring and assessing student progress, providing feedback, and adapting teaching strategies as necessary
• Cultivating an inclusive classroom environment where students feel encouraged to discuss, create, and build confidence
• Collaborating with fellow staff to ensure the curriculum is engaging and effective
• Inspiring students to pursue further studies and careers in English and related fields

What We’re Looking For:

• A qualified teacher with QTS, or an ECT with teaching experience in English
• A degree in English, English Literature, or a related subject
• A true passion for teaching and encouraging a love of reading and writing
• Strong knowledge of English language and literature with the ability to deliver inspiring lessons
• Excellent communication skills to explain complex concepts clearly and engage students
• Creative and adaptable teaching methods that cater to diverse learning needs
