About the company:

Join a leading energy solutions provider, focussing on sustainable and climate-neutral energy projects across Europe. We are looking for an experienced commissioning manager to lead the commissioning of solar PV and battery storage projects within the UK.

The role:

In this role, you'll be leading the commissioning of solar PV and battery storage projects across the UK, overseeing everything from contract negotiations to final handover. Working closely with the quality team, you'll ensure that all commissioning and testing protocols are up to the highest standards. You'll manage resources and supervise subcontractors throughout the commissioning phase. We expect a high level of expertise in electrical engineering and a strong background in renewable energy, to ensure successful completion on time and to budget.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the commissioning of solar PV and battery storage projects, ensuring all activities align with project goals and industry standards.
  • Develop, maintain, and implement commissioning processes and plans, including testing protocols specific to UK projects.
  • Oversee the entire commissioning period, managing resources, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Collaborate with project, site, and quality managers to ensure commissioning activities meet safety, budget, and timeline requirements.
  • Ensure detailed commissioning records are maintained for smooth project handover.

 

Skills & Qualifications Required:

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with Inexcess and GPM softwares (SCADA)
  • Proven experience in commissioning solar PV and/or battery storage projects.
  • Strong understanding of grid connection and testing requirements.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with OEMs and project stakeholders.
  • Be able to work in the UK without sponsorship.
  • Willingness to travel across Europe and work on site as required.
