Salary: £28,000 - £30,000

Location: Huntingdon, Office-based (own transport required)

Hours: Monday - Friday, 8.30am - 5.00pm (1hr lunch)

We’re recruiting on behalf of a well-established distribution company seeking a motivated Sales Account Manager to join their friendly internal sales team. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a busy office, building strong relationships with trade customers, and contributing directly to business growth.

You’ll be part of a small, supportive sales team, working alongside a technical department to manage and develop customer accounts. You’ll handle a mix of inbound and outbound activity - from responding to sales enquiries and preparing quotations, to making proactive calls to generate new business and strengthen existing relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to customer enquiries and identify their needs
  • Make outbound sales calls to grow new business opportunities
  • Prepare accurate quotations and process orders/payments
  • Maintain and update the CRM system to ensure all information is current
  • Develop and nurture long-term relationships with trade customers
  • Collaborate with colleagues to deliver excellent service and achieve team targets
  • Receive ongoing product and technical training

Requirements:

  • Confident communicator with a professional telephone manner
  • Self-motivated and organised, able to manage your own workload
  • Positive, team-oriented attitude with a flexible approach
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and quotations
  • Previous experience in a sales or account management role is desirable
  • Own car essential due to location (limited public transport access)
