Graduate Teaching Assistant

London Secondary Schools (Full-Time, Long-Term or Permanent)

Salary: £25,000 per annum (term time only)

Are you a high-achieving graduate from a Russell Group or Oxbridge university looking for a meaningful first step in your career?

Do you want to inspire young people, support their development, and explore a pathway into education and teaching?

If so, this Graduate Teaching Assistant opportunity could be the perfect fit.

We are working in partnership with a network of thriving and nurturing secondary schools across London who are dedicated to unlocking potential and shaping futures. These schools are looking for exceptional graduates who are ready to bring energy, resilience, and academic excellence into the classroom.

The Role:

As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in raising outcomes and supporting progression for pupils across the school. Working under the guidance of experienced teachers and senior leaders, you will:

  • Provide tailored academic support to students in small groups and one-to-one interventions.
  • Assist in the planning and delivery of engaging lessons across a variety of subjects.
  • Act as a role model for students, setting high expectations for behaviour, effort, and achievement.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school, whether in clubs, enrichment activities, or pastoral support.

This role is designed to give you deep insight into teaching and learning. Many of our Graduate TAs go on to train as teachers within the school or through partnered teacher training routes — making this an excellent springboard into a long-term career in education.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A strong academic background, ideally from a Russell Group or Oxbridge university.
  • A genuine passion for education and improving outcomes for young people.
  • Empathy, patience, and strong communication skills.
  • A commitment to making a difference in a diverse and dynamic school environment.

Could this be your first step toward a rewarding career in teaching?

  • Do you want to see the direct impact of your knowledge and mentoring on student progress?
  • Are you excited by the opportunity to support children with SEN and help them unlock their potential?
  • Can you see yourself developing into a future teacher or educational leader?

If the answer is yes, we would love to hear from you. Apply today to join our network of outstanding London schools and start your journey in education.
