About the Role – Graduate Teaching Assistant

As a Russell Group Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will support student achievement across core subjects working closely with experienced teachers to deliver targeted academic support and drive pupil progress.

Key responsibilities include:

• Providing 1:1 and small group support across Key Stages 3 and 4 in core subjects
• Assisting with lesson planning, resource creation, and classroom delivery
• Supporting students in their preparation for GCSE exams
• Collaborating with SEN and EAL departments to personalise support for individual learners
• Encouraging student engagement, participation, and academic resilience
• Getting involved in enrichment activities, academic clubs, or revision sessions

Who We’re Looking For – Candidate Profile

We are looking for exceptional graduates who are:

• Educated to degree level (minimum 2:1) from a Russell Group university
• Academically strong, highly organised, and passionate about education
• Confident communicators with a proactive and professional attitude
• Comfortable working with secondary school-aged students
• Interested in a future career in teaching or educational leadership
• Previous experience in tutoring, mentoring, or youth work is advantageous but not essential
