About the School:

Located in the heart of Hounslow and just minutes from public transport links, this is a rapidly improving secondary school with a strong leadership team and a clear vision for academic excellence and student achievement.

  • Strong focus on academic mentoring, inclusive learning, and high expectations
  • Supportive staff culture and in-house CPD tailored for graduate interns

The Role:

As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in supporting students across a range of year groups and subject areas, depending on your degree specialism (e.g., English, Maths, Science, Humanities, MFL).

Your duties will include:

  • Supporting students with 1:1 and small group interventions, particularly those who are underperforming or need exam support
  • Assisting in the delivery of classroom lessons alongside experienced subject teachers
  • Helping plan, resource and deliver revision, literacy, and numeracy catch-up sessions
  • Working with the SEN and pastoral teams to support students with specific learning needs
  • Providing enrichment through clubs, mentoring or subject-specific initiatives

You’ll gain real classroom exposure, professional mentoring, and the kind of day-to-day insight that’s hard to find outside of direct experience.

Who We're Looking For:

  • A recent Russell Group graduate (2:1 or above preferred)
  • Strong academic subject knowledge in one or more of the core or facilitating subjects
  • A clear interest in pursuing teacher training in the near future
  • Excellent communication, resilience, and adaptability
  • Experience working with young people (e.g. tutoring, mentoring, outreach) is highly desirable but not essential

What’s On Offer:

  • £25,000 – £28,000 per annum (depending on experience)
  • Full-time, Monday–Friday, term-time only
  • Fixed-term contract (September 2025 – July 2026)
  • Weekly pay, career guidance, and access to teacher training routes within the trust

This is more than a support role – it’s a training ground for future teachers and education leaders.
