Warehouse Operative

Location: Yate, Bristol

Salary: £13.50 per hour
Job Type: Permanent | Full-Time | 37.5 hours per week

Shift: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

(Counterbalance Forklift Experience Essential)

MDE Consultants are recruiting on behalf of a well-established manufacturing company based in Yate, Bristol. We are looking for a Warehouse Operative to support daily warehouse operations, including goods handling, stock movement, and dispatch preparation.

This is a full-time, temp to perm role offering stability, a supportive team environment, and opportunities for progression. It’s ideal for someone reliable, hands-on, and experienced with counterbalance forklift work.

Please note: Own transport is required if you are not local to Yate due to limited public transport links.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Loading and unloading deliveries

• Moving goods using a counterbalance forklift

• Stock control and replenishment

• Order picking, packing, and preparing items for dispatch

• Labelling and wrapping goods for shipment

• General housekeeping and warehouse upkeep

• Supporting team members across the warehouse when needed

What We’re Looking For:

• Recent experience operating a counterbalance forklift – essential
  (Formal licence not required, but hands-on experience is a must)

• Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or distribution environment

• Strong attention to detail and reliability

• Willingness to get stuck in and work as part of a team

• Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling

• Own transport if commuting from outside the Yate area
