Electrical Supervisor

Location: Qatar & Oman (residential)

Contract Term: End on 28 February 2027

Job Purpose & Key Accountabilities:

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Supervisor to oversee electrical installation and pre-commissioning activities for the Riser Platform Project. The role will be based on-site at the EPCIC contractor's premises in Sohar, Oman, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and project specifications throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

Safety & Compliance

• Complete all required safety training and adhere to NOC HSE policies and standards.
• Actively engage in safety observations, toolbox talks, and risk assessments, ensuring all work is executed safely.
• Identify and report unsafe activities, intervening when necessary to maintain a zero-incident environment.

Project Execution & Quality Control

• Review and interpret electrical drawings, shop drawings, and execution procedures, ensuring readiness for fabrication and installation.
• Supervise electrical installation activities to ensure they comply with project specifications, industry codes (ATEX, EEHA, IEC), and safety standards.
• Lead contractor pre-commissioning activities, ensuring all punch lists are addressed per the project schedule.
• Monitor EIT material deliveries, inspections, and storage to align with vendor recommendations and project standards.
• Coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams (structural, piping, HVAC, telecom, instrumentation, etc.) to ensure smooth project execution.

Technical Oversight & Contractor Management

• Evaluate and approve contractor's method statements, risk assessments, and work procedures.
• Oversee the contractor's daily and weekly progress, reporting to the EIT Superintendent.
• Review and verify as-built documentation and ensure proper handover to the commissioning team.
• Monitor contractor workforce mobilization, ensuring the team is adequately resourced and skilled.
• Ensure compliance with Permit to Work (PTW) procedures.

Project Scope & Work Environment:

The project is a large-scale offshore development involving multiple EPCIC contractors working in parallel over a six-year period. Key components include:

• Riser Platform: 25,600MT topsides + 15,000MT jacket, interconnecting bridge, and seawater treatment facilities.
• Major Brownfield Modifications: Integration into existing facilities, requiring coordination across multiple disciplines and teams.
• Onshore Fabrication Yard (Sohar, Oman): A complex desert climate environment requiring adaptability to challenging site conditions.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Instrumentation, or related field) or equivalent.
• Ex (ATEX, EEHA) certification is mandatory.
• Minimum 15 years' experience in offshore electrical installation & fabrication within the oil & gas sector.
• At least 3 years of experience in fixed platform projects (topside and/or jacket).
• Proficiency in international standards (IEC, ATEX, API, etc.).
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in multicultural, multi-disciplinary project environments.
• Fluent in English (written & spoken).
• Computer literate with expertise in project management and engineering software.
