Electrical Design Engineer

Salary: £40,000 - £60,000 + Benefits & Flexible Working

Location: Worcestershire 

Permanent, Full Time

MDE are looking for an Electrical Design Engineer to join a great growing business. You will be working closely with the General manager as well as junior engineers, supporting and training them. 

You will be responsible for:

Electrical Design:

• Conducting existing asset surveys
• Performing emergency stop assessments
• Creating single line diagrams
• Developing communications network drawings
• Performing comprehensive electrical design work
• Preparing and reviewing electrical drawing briefs
• Designing main distribution boards

Suppliers / Subcontractors (Selection, Specification, Procurement, Delivery):

• Site electrical installation
• Managing building services
• Overseeing earthing and lightning protection

Commissioning:

• Preparing commissioning documentation
• Conducting FBA inspections
• Authorizing energization

Control Panels:

• Providing tender packages to panel suppliers
• Interpreting client specifications
• Placing orders with suppliers
• Overseeing panel construction
• Approving supplier panel schematics for build
• Approving supplier bills of materials (BOM) for build
• Producing cable schedules for site installations
• Designing and drawing ASi boards
• Ordering backboards and materials for construction
• Programming ASi nodes
• Producing ASi node and ASi site markers

Electrical Off-Site Testing:

• Conducting ASi network works testing
• Performing control panel works testing
