The Company

We are representing a leading global engineering manufacturer with a strong presence in the aerospace sector. Their Clevedon site is a centre of excellence, producing precision-engineered components supplied into some of the world's most advanced aircraft programmes.

 

The Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Level 2 MPI Technician to join the quality team at their Clevedon facility. This role is critical in ensuring products meet the highest aerospace quality standards, offering the chance to develop within a world-class engineering environment.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI) in line with Level 2 PCN/EN ISO 9712 standards.
  • Inspect aerospace components using bench equipment, ensuring compliance with specifications and regulations.
  • Accurately interpret results, report findings, and highlight non-conformities.
  • Maintain, calibrate, and operate MPI equipment safely.
  • Complete inspection documentation to the required standards.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across production, engineering, and quality teams.

Candidate Requirements

  • Level 2 MPI certification (PCN/EN ISO 9712 or equivalent).
  • Previous experience conducting MPI within aerospace, defence, or precision engineering.
  • Strong ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Excellent attention to detail and defect recognition skills.
  • IT literacy for data entry and inspection reporting.
  • Team player with strong communication skills.

Desirable

  • Additional NDT qualifications (Dye Penetrant, Ultrasonic, Eddy Current).
  • Aerospace sector experience, ideally within bearings or rotating equipment.
  • Understanding of lean manufacturing or continuous improvement practices.
