A highly-regarded specialist secondary school in Wakefield is seeking an exceptional Graduate Behaviour Mentor to support students with SEMH and associated additional learning needs. This is a full-time role starting in September 2025—perfect for anyone exploring a future in Educational Psychology, Youth Work, SEN Teaching, or Mental Health Support. The Role – Graduate Behaviour Mentor As a Graduate Behaviour Mentor, you'll be making a real difference to pupils aged 11–16 with a diverse range of SEMH needs, including anxiety, trauma, ADHD, and challenging behaviours. Working both 1:1 and in small groups, you'll help create a nurturing, secure environment that promotes self-regulation, emotional growth, and positive learning outcomes. This Graduate Behaviour Mentor position is ideally suited to Psychology graduates or those with proven experience in mentoring, coaching, care, or other youth-focused roles. The role demands resilience, emotional intelligence, and the confidence to skillfully de-escalate challenging situations while building meaningful relationships with vulnerable students.
