Welder / Fabricator

Location: Biggleswade, Bedfordshire (SG18)

Salary: £14.50 - £15.50 per hour

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Hours: Mon - Thurs: 8.00am - 4.30pm & Fri: 8.00am - 3.30pm

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a long-established and internationally respected engineering manufacturer based in Biggleswade. Due to continued growth, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled Welder/Fabricator to join their friendly and experienced team.

Working from their state-of-the-art facility, you will be involved in the fabrication and welding of high-spec industrial equipment for a global client base. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a stable, growing business with long-term career potential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Welding and fabricating of sheet metal components
• Working from detailed engineering drawings to assemble and produce high-quality products
• Operating workshop machinery including grinders, drills, and punch machines
• Safe operation of overhead cranes and other material handling equipment
• Ensuring work is completed to deadlines and to high standards of accuracy

Requirements:

• Proven experience in welding and metal fabrication
• Ability to read and work from technical engineering drawings (essential)
• Familiarity with workshop tools and machinery
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Strong work ethic with a reliable and safety-conscious approach
• Organised and able to work independently or as part of a team
