This top-achieving Secondary School with an exceptional reputation in the local area is looking for an English Graduate Teaching Assistant who can use their exceptional academic background and passion for English to offer exceptional academic support to students from September 2025.

As an English Graduate Teaching Assistant, you’ll support pupils across KS3 and KS4, working alongside experienced teachers to build your skills and confidence in a school setting.

Key Responsibilities

As an English Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Support teachers in delivering high-quality lessons in core subjects
• Provide one-to-one and small group academic support
• Help pupils stay engaged and on track with their learning
• Assist with behaviour management and classroom organisation
• Contribute to extracurricular activities and school life
• Prepare resources and materials to support learning

Who We’re Looking For

To succeed as an English Graduate Teaching Assistant, you should have:

• A degree 2:1 or higher in English or related degree
• A genuine interest in working with young people
• An open nature and the ability to build strong, positive relationships with students
• A can-do attitude as well as an enthusiastic attitude towards learning
• An interest in potentially training as a teacher in the future
• Experience working with young people (desirable but not essential)
