Full-Time | Immediate Start | Long Term | School Hours: 8:30am – 4:00pm - up to £550 P/W!

we are  recruiting a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a dynamic, supportive SEN school in Hemel Hempstead.

About the Role: Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant

As a Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant, you will provide vital support to children aged 5-11 with identified SEN needs. Working one-on-one or in small groups, you will help pupils access learning, participate in mentoring sessions, and assist during breaks. Some children may show challenging behaviours, and you will receive Team Teach Training to equip you with effective intervention techniques.

You’ll work closely with the SENCO, senior leadership, and external professionals including therapists and healthcare providers to deliver holistic support.

Your Responsibilities: Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant

  • Support pupils with various learning difficulties and EAL needs
  • Engage and support students’ educational and personal development
  • Assist with personal care when required
  • Help supervise pupil behaviour throughout the day

What We’re Looking For: - Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant

  • Experience supporting children or young adults with SEND is desirable but not essential
  • Calm, empathetic, and patient approach
  • Strong behaviour management skills
  • Valid DBS with online update or willingness to apply for one
  • Available to work 5 days a week and commit for at least 2-6 months
