Full-Time (40 hours per week)
Up to £19.00 per hour (dependent on experience)


Are you an experienced CNC Miller looking for a stable role with genuine career progression?


We are working with a well-established engineering business to recruit a skilled CNC Milling Machinist to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a machinist with solid programming, setting, and operating skills who wants to work in a clean, well-organised environment producing high-precision components.

The Role

You will be responsible for programming, setting, and operating 3-Axis CNC milling machines, ideally using Heidenhain controls (though training can be provided for the right candidate). The successful applicant will be capable of working from engineering drawings and delivering high-accuracy components.


Key Responsibilities

  • Program, set, and operate 3-axis CNC milling machines

  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, including geometric tolerancing

  • Select appropriate tooling and cutting speeds

  • Conduct self-inspection using standard workshop measuring tools

  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment

  • Work effectively both independently and as part of a team


Ideal Candidate

  • Strong experience in CNC milling, preferably using Heidenhain controls

  • Confident in programming from scratch and editing existing programs

  • Solid understanding of engineering drawings and tolerances

  • Familiar with a range of cutting tools and materials

  • Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious

  • Positive attitude with a focus on quality and continuous improvement
