Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Lecturer in Childcare to join an FE college in Hartlepool . The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality teaching, fostering a positive learning environment, and inspiring the next generation of childcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities

1. Teaching and Curriculum Delivery

   • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lectures, workshops, and seminars in Childcare and Early Years Education.
   • Develop and assess coursework, assignments, and examinations in line with the curriculum.
   • Adapt teaching methods to accommodate diverse student needs and learning styles.

2. Student Support and Mentorship

   • Provide academic support and guidance to students, ensuring their personal and professional development.
   • Act as a mentor and advisor for students undertaking projects, placements, or research.

3. Curriculum Development

   • Collaborate with colleagues to review and enhance childcare-related modules and programs.
   • Ensure that course content aligns with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

4. Research and Professional Development

   • Conduct research in areas related to childcare, child development, or early years education.
   • Stay updated with current developments and best practices in childcare and integrate them into teaching.

5. Collaboration and Administration

   • Participate in department meetings, planning sessions, and staff training.
   • Contribute to recruitment, admissions, and promotional activities for the childcare program.
