Job Title: Maintenance Engineer

Salary: £46,000 - 48,000 (DOE) 

Location: Liverpool

Shifts: 12 hour rotating shift (Days & Nights)

MDE are recruiting for a Maintenance Engineer to join our dynamic Maintenance Team. This team is essential in ensuring the continuous operation of all plant and machinery.

Skills of the Maintenance Engineer:

• Proven experience in a fast-paced, demanding manufacturing environment
• Skilled in developing and leading effective teams
• Capable of working independently and as part of a team, maintaining high standards of accuracy and quality
• Strong communication skills
• Possession of a formal electrical qualification
• HNC level qualification or equivalent, preferably in a manufacturing or engineering discipline

Duties of the Maintenance Engineer:

• Provide mechanical and electrical maintenance to meet production requirements
• Strict adherence to all Standard Operating Procedures
• Conduct maintenance on equipment and machinery safely, following Health and Safety legislation
• Comply with all safe systems of work, including isolation and lockout procedures
• Troubleshoot and maintain electrical and mechanical equipment in line with Preventative Maintenance documentation
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping
• Participate in the development of manufacturing unit activities, such as working practices, equipment specifications, and productivity and quality improvements
• Efficiently perform timely repairs and reinstatement of equipment during breakdowns
