Heat pump installation engineer

Salary: £35,000 - £45,000

Hours: 37.5 hrs per week, Mon-Fri

This thriving, rapidly growing business is looking for an experienced Installation Engineer to join our established team. Based from our offices in Nuneaton and travelling to customer sites, predominantly in the Midlands and also Nationwide as required, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing domestic and industrial air and ground source heat pumps.

Reporting to the line manager, you will form part of a skilled team who work to maintain the company's outstanding reputation for quality and customer service. Preferably you will be a time-served apprentice (or equivalent) with a C&G in plumbing and heating (Or equivalent) and a minimum NVQ Level 2 in plumbing and heating or Building Services (Or equivalent) with good installation knowledge of ground source heat pumps, air source heat pumps. Highly experienced candidates without these qualifications will still be considered and encouraged to apply.

• Safely and efficiently, install, maintain, and repair ground and air source heat pumps and associated systems.
• Possess a positive and proactive approach to health and safety.
• Carry out diagnostics and fault finding.
• Assist with the commissioning of mechanical and electrical installations.
• Maintain documentation relating to system maintenance and commissioning records.
• Prepare accurate and detailed installation and service reports.
• Understand and complete all work-related documentation accurately and on time.
• Carry out work and tasks in a safe and diligent manner.
• Comply with all Health and Safety policies and procedures.
• Work effectively with the team and wider network of clients and duty holders.

Essential Skills :

• Preferably time served apprentice (or equivalent).
• C&G in plumbing and heating (Or equivalent).
• NVQ Level 2 in plumbing and heating or Building Services (Or equivalent).
• Demonstrable experience in working with, and the installation knowledge of ground source heat pumps, air source heat pumps and/or water chillers.
• Extensive on-site experience in the installation/service/commissioning of HVAC equipment.
• Demonstrable IT skills.
• Good all-round understanding of mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Good oral and written communications skills.
• Full Driving License.
