About the role:
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a driven and experienced Theatre Nurse / Practitioner to join a highly reputable state of the art private hospital based in Leicester. This is an excellent opportunity for a Theatre Nurse / Practitioner to join their thriving theatre team on a permanent basis. The hospital is high performing and expanding and within his role you will be exposed to a wide range of specialities. The service practices some of the most advanced treatments offering a range of services including screening, rehabilitation and a variety of surgical procedures is specialist fields such as orthopaedics and cancer care. The team are passionate about what they do and receive consistent excellent patient satisfaction feedback. This is a great opportunity for a Theatre Nurse / Practitioner to expand on their skills assisting patients undergoing procedures including ENT, max fax, dental, plastics, pain management, orthopaedic, gynaecology and urology.

Duties and responsibilities
You will be working as a Theatre Nurse / Practitioner and will be responsible for:

  • Prepare patients for surgery
  • Take them through the journey and reassure patients throughout
  • Caring for patients after surgery recovering from sedation
  • Review patient charts and confirm data
  • Ensure medical equipment is prepared for surgery
  • Follow surgeons' direction and pass medical equipment
  • Monitor patients condition during surgery

Who we're looking for

  • Be NMC / HCPC registered - your pin must not have any restrictions or conditions
  • Eligibility to live and work in the UK without sponsorship
  • At least 1 year experience working in theatres in the UK
  • Orthopaedics experience highly desirable
  • Interest in development and progression- this role offers the opportunity to complete the surgical assist course
